Valle is located in Setesdal in Agder.

Valle is known for its beautiful nature and location between fjord and mountains. The city is located in a pot in the valley, where the river Otra flows in the western part of the city and Nomelandsfjellet rises on the western side.

The nature has made the area around Valle a popular place for mountain walks, where you can find more than 50 trails to walk on. There is also plenty of opportunities to try hybrid-bikes, climbing and much more at forest paths and mountain sides.

As part of Setesdal, the municipality has strong traditions in music and dance. In 2019, those traditions became part of UNESCO’s list of intangible cultural heritage in the world.

Valle is the largest power municipality in former Aust-Agder, with an annual production of 1586 gigawatt hours per year (2016). There are three power plants in the municipality. The power plant with the highest production, Brokke power plant, produces approx. 1556-gigawatt hours.

In 2013, Norway's 16th meteorite was found in Valle. The meteorite weighed 4.5 kilograms and was the largest finding in more than 100 years.

Valle is the administrative center of Valle Municipality in Setesdal.
