Tour of Norway 2023 changes to be a 4-days race

In 2023, the race will be arranged from May 26th-29th.

”The cost of organizing cycling races has increased quite a bit in recent years. To ensure that we can continue with a strong international setup, we have taken the decision to reduce the number of racedays, why the race from now on will be on four days. This is the only way, we can continue to be an economically sustainable event”, says Roy Hegreberg, Event Director at Tour of Norway.

Despite the race going from six to four days, Roy Hegreberg ensures that the race will be eventful.

“We are sure that Tour of Norway 2023 will be very entertaining. Tour of Norway is still guaranteed participation from the best teams in the world, and as late as in 2021, we saw that it is possible to make an exciting race with this set-up.

In 2023, Tour of Norway starts with a folk festival in Bergen, where the riders will try themself at Fløyen for the first time since the World Championships in 2017.

The course and participating teams will be announced later.
