Ulvik

Ulvik

Ulvik awaits in the nook of the Hardanger fjord, amongst steep mountains and bountiful orchards. Here, tradition and innovation walks hand in hand and the town offers a host of attractions and activities for all. This includes kayaking, hiking and cycling in the beautiful area around the city. The lush mountains and gleaming fjord invite you to experience some of the best views Hardanger has to offer.

One of our most famous poets, Olav Hauge, came from Ulvik. A visit to Haugesenteret in Ulvik will grant you the possibility to get to know the poet and his rich works better through an exciting and activity-based exposition.

Besides the beautiful nature around Ulvik, you can also experience Norway’s only fruit- and ciderroute and sample the sights and flavors of traditional Norwegian farms. The farm primarily manufactures several kinds of apple juice and cider.
