Since 2011, the Tour of Norway has been a highlight on the international cycling calendar, featuring global stars such as Remco Evenepoel, Wout van Aert, and Jonas Vingegaard. In 2025, we are making history<\/h5>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

May 29 \u2013 June 1, we welcome the entire cycling world to a grand celebration as the Tour of Norway 2025 kicks off.<\/p>\n

For the first time, we will host a women\u2019s race alongside the men\u2019s race \u2013 something that has never been done before in Norwegian cycling history. The women’s race\u00a0will take place from May 31 to June 1, on the same courses as the men, marking a significant step forward for Norwegian cycling and gender equality in sports.<\/p>\n

“This is a milestone for the Tour of Norway and a fantastic opportunity to promote women\u2019s sports. We are excited to see both women and men competing at\u00a0the Tour of Norway 2025,”<\/em>\u00a0says Race Director Roy Hegreberg.<\/p>\n

TV2\u2019s (Norwegian broadcaster)\u00a0Mads Kaggestad is also looking forward to seeing and commenting on some of the world\u2019s best female cyclists competing on Norwegian soil in\u00a0Tour of Norway.<\/p>\n

“There is rapid progress in women\u2019s sports in general, which is very positive. I think it\u2019s a natural and right step for\u00a0Tour of Norway to now organize a women’s race. It feels more like one event and one brand, in the same way that, for example, the Tour de France has achieved,”<\/em>\u00a0he says.<\/p>\n

The women’s race will feature two challenging stages in varied terrain, offering a great atmosphere. Expect intense racing, scenic routes, and some of the world\u2019s best cyclists gathered in Norway \u2013 including a few with Norwegian passports.<\/p>\n

“I was thrilled when I first heard the news and immediately knew I wanted it on my race calendar. I\u2019ll be at the start line, truly on home soil, with ambitions to win!”<\/em>\u00a0says Stavanger native Susanne Andersen (Uno-X Mobility).<\/p>\n

Mads Kaggestad highlights Susanne Andersen as one of the riders he hopes to see at the starting line in May.<\/p>\n

“Norwegian cycling has some standout athletes, like Susanne Andersen, who also has local ties to Rogaland. It would be exciting to see her in this race. I believe this will be a great inspiration for Susanne to perform at her best in the Tour of Norway. Ingvild G\u00e5skjenn is another to look out for, considering the level she showed last season and the terrain that awaits,”<\/em>\u00a0he concludes.<\/p>\n
